What is cad/cam?

Computer-designed, machine-milled restorations — made on-site, often the same day.

CAD/CAM stands for Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing. It lets us digitally design a crown, veneer or inlay from your intraoral scan and then mill it from a solid ceramic block using a precision milling unit — all in-house.

At Om Dental Clinic, having CAD/CAM technology on-site means many restorations are completed in a single appointment. You skip the temporary crown, skip the two-week wait, and skip the second visit — walking out the same day with a permanent, precision-fitted restoration.

CAD/CAM technology digitally designs and mills crowns, veneers and inlays on-site — often completing a permanent restoration in a single visit.
Why it matters

Six advantages of in-house CAD/CAM.

Single-visit restorations

Many crowns, veneers and inlays are designed, milled and fitted in one appointment — no second visit required.

No temporary crowns

Skip the fragile temporary that can fall off or feel uncomfortable for two weeks. Your permanent restoration is ready the same day.

Digitally precise

Computer-designed restorations fit precisely to your scanned anatomy, reducing adjustments and improving longevity.

Premium ceramics

CAD/CAM mills from solid blocks of high-strength ceramic — durable, lifelike and stain-resistant.

Fewer appointments

One visit instead of two or three means less time off work and fewer trips to the clinic.

Predictable aesthetics

Design the shape and shade on screen before milling — what you approve is what you receive.
How it works
